The sacred space we opened with offerings to the fire moved us through emotions of connection, longing, conflict, unity and ultimately an enduring bond that will live beyond this event alone. We are wiser, we are more open, we are stronger in our resolution that the spirits of nature deserve our respect and desire renewed relationship.
From the deer that appeared regularly at our councils, to the eagles that flew in circles above our fire tent, to the gentle rolls of ocean waves that lapped our feet, the beings of the land and water welcomed us. Our thanks to the Coast Salish peoples, and the residents of Port Townsend, who blessed us with their support and presence.
