As she prepared for Ancient Wisdom Rising 2011, Maori elder Raina Ferris heard a song rising from within her. 

On Thursday, Raina brought the song and its dance to the shore of Grandmother Ocean at the start of Ancient Wisdom Rising.

She taught it to everyone who stood with her after their walk to the waters of Port Townsend, WA.

On Saturday, Raina lead a Ceremony for the Ocean right after sunrise... greeting the directions, calling to lands across the waters, thanking the Mother, hearing her response in the lap of the waves.

Those who joined her learned the song and its dance to celebrate.

After Sunday's events ended and everyone closed the Ancient Wisdom Rising ceremonial fire, the song and its dance came forth once again.
